Decor for your ceremony and rehearsal is the perfect way to add some personal touches and make your special day really shine with your personalities. Here are some unique ideas that some of our couples have used and we’ve fallen in love with!
Non-traditional florals! From bouquets, centerpieces, and small additions on welcome tables and more- floral will be a focus point for a lot of couples. If you and your future spouse aren’t big on the traditional, no worries. Take an example from Shannon and Paul! Shannon went with a bright and exotic bouquet and hair piece but all of the ‘floral’ decor focus was actually citrus fruits. Hosting their wedding at a gorgeous nature reserve, it fit the theme beautifully and had a clean and minimalist vibe.
Ditch the plain table numbers! Some completely let go of a seating arrangement and others might find it to be the practical way to go. Both are easy to navigate depending on what you’re looking for. Maybe you’re going for a seating chart but feeling a tad uninspired. Everyone has the table numbers so what could you do to mix it up? Jackie and Phil decided to pair their love of travel with the seating arrangement. Each table wasn’t labeled a number and instead named a place they’ve visited together. The centerpieces featured a photo frame of the couple in that destination.
Is your ceremony and reception going to be small and intimate? The trend of micro weddings is starting to become more popular! The flexibility of locations and activities is endless when you’re only having a handful of loved ones to celebrate. Amanda and Kevin wanted the celebrations to continue so they invited their guests to brunch the following morning! With everyone staying at the hotel or nearby, it was the perfect opportunity to keep the celebrations going. They added invites to each table with the time and location (and promise of bloody Mary’s and mimosas!) to remind guests to continue the celebration.
Party favors that add flavor! While not required, tons of couples love to add personalized wedding favors for their guests to take home. Why not make those favors something useful! Ashley and Adam brought the flavor and drew inspo from their gorgeous Tuscan Rose Vineyard venue and added bottles of personalized olive oil to each seat. The cutest part? The label saying “Olive You”.
Your wedding should be catered to you and your significant other. Let your personalities and relationship shine wherever you want! Whether you focus on florals, centerpieces, favors, or even continuing the celebrations later on- remember that this is your special day!
